CLEAN SWEEP CAMPAIGNS
OUR HISTORY
Established in 1988, CleanSweep Campaigns began in Michael Terris’ apartment in the Haight-Ashbury. The firm grew and evolved through numerous iterations over the next 30 years. From Angela Alioto’s first successful race for Supervisor in San Francisco in 1988 – and the nation’s first domestic partnership campaign in 1989 – the firm went national in the 1990 campaign cycle. Over the years we added new partners and created new divisions, including Props & Measures, which specializes in non-partisan tax and bond measures/initiatives (click here for more information). In 2019, after all these changes, we moved away from individual partner names. Today, the same firm, the same dedicated partners and staff – with the same emphasis on quality – is now known as CleanSweep Campaigns.
